Gimmes Aren’t a Gimme

The moneymakers, three footers to paradise, tap-ins, or as we often call them: gimmes. All names for short putts, and according to the latter, an assumed easy thing to do. It’s called a gimme for crying out loud. Doesn’t that imply the putt is so easy that it should be conceded rather than having to putt it out?

Not exactly.
